1965–2013: Founder, owner and president, MacGregor Yacht Corporation and MacGregor 65 Corporation,
with a 5 acre plant in Costa Mesa, California. 220 employees. Manufactured approximately 800-1000 sailboats each year.
2020-present: Owner of MacGregor Properties, LLC. After retiring and shutting down the boat building operations, MacGregor formed an industrial leasing company to lease out portions of the boatbuilding plant to eleven industrial businesses. The factory was built in 1968. It was designed with multiple buildings and separate units that would allow rental of all the spaces after MacGregor’s retirement from the boat manufacturing industry.
